One calendar, only the dates you need
Daymark’s builder separates a holiday’s calendar date from its federal observed date. When a fixed-date federal holiday falls on a weekend, an observed weekday may affect federal offices and many other schedules even though the holiday itself remains on its original date.
State entries come from Daymark’s sourced state-year guides. A listed state observance does not automatically mean every school, court, office or private employer closes. The builder preserves the published status label and links back to the relevant state guide so you can verify consequential plans.
Which format should I use?
Choose ICS to import the selected dates into Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook or another compatible calendar app. Choose CSV for a spreadsheet, recordkeeping or further filtering. Print calendar creates a two-page, 12-month calendar marked with only your selected dates. Every format is created in your browser.
Federal observed dates follow published U.S. Office of Personnel Management schedules. State entries retain the official sources cited in each Daymark state guide. Your selections are processed on your device and are not submitted to Daymark.

Calendar builder questions
Why can an actual date and observed date be different?
A fixed federal holiday on Saturday is generally observed on Friday, while one on Sunday is generally observed on Monday. The holiday’s calendar date itself does not change.
Does a state entry mean every office is closed?
No. State terminology and agency schedules vary. Treat the entry as a planning prompt and use the linked state guide and official source before relying on a closure.
Will an ICS import update automatically?
No. The downloaded file is a one-time snapshot. Daymark’s all-years subscription remains available if you prefer a calendar feed.
Can I share my selections?
Yes. “Copy share link” creates a URL containing the year, state and filters. It does not include personal events or identifying information.
