2026 early-closing days
- Friday, November 27: core markets close at 1:00 p.m. ET after Thanksgiving.
- Thursday, December 24: core markets close at 1:00 p.m. ET on Christmas Eve.
Eligible options close at 1:15 p.m. ET on those early-close dates. Some late trading sessions have separate closing times.
Federal holidays when NYSE may remain open
The exchange calendar is not identical to the federal calendar. In 2026, Columbus Day and Veterans Day are federal holidays but are not listed as NYSE market closures. Good Friday is an NYSE closure even though it is not a federal holiday.
